Just a caution: Before you disturb the tile (or cover it up), please have the tile and its mastic tested for asbestos (especially if it is an old floor pre-1980). Even if you cover it over, you'll want to keep that in the record to save time and money in future renovations. (plus contractors laying over it now will want to be forewarned so they can avoid creating an unintentional hazard for themselves and for you).

Subject: [NHCOLL-L:4545] Vinyl tile
Good afternoon,
Does anyone have vinyl tile in their collection storage areas? If so, I would appreciate any feedback (positive or negative). We are about to convert an old bank vault into a collection storage area for our baskets. We currently have vinyl tile over a concrete slab. I would like to remove the tile and the old adhesive and then seal the concrete. However, it has been brought to my attention by several individuals, that it is cheaper and easier to lay new vinyl tile.
Thanks for the input!
