[NHCOLL-L:4924] Position announcement - Collections Assistant

Dear Colleagues,

the Paleontological Research Institution (PRI) in Ithaca is looking to immediately fill a full-time Collections Assistant position.

The position will include the curation of the W. J. Zinsmeister Collection containing Cretaceous-Eocene fossil mollusks from Seymour Island, Antarctica and vicinity, which is widely recognized as one of the largest and finest in the world from this region. Data-basing and the research of specimen and locality data as well as digital photography and digital image editing will be part of the duties.

Masters degree in paleontology, geology, systematic biology, or related discipline is preferred, however BS or BA in a related field is required; collections experience is a plus.
