MayDay is an intiative of the 41 national associations and agencies that are members of the Heritage Emergency National Task Force.

What will you do
for MayDay 2010?

Every year cultural institutions across the nation set aside May 1 to participate in MayDay, a national effort to encourage disaster preparedness.

Just taking one simple step to protect the art, artifacts, records, and historic sites you hold in trust can make all the difference. Last year, cultural institutions updated disaster plans, held fire extinguisher training, and met with local emergency responders to ensure the future safety of their collections.

Learn more and help spread the word about MayDay with Heritage Preservation's press release. For tips and tools to make your MayDay effort a success, visit Heritage Preservation's MayDay Web site.

The MayDay 2010 campaign is supported by BELFOR Property Restoration.
