Property Risk Analysis - First


We invite you to participate in the International Symposium and  Workshop 
on Cultural Property Risk Analysis. This three day event is being held  in 
association with the ICOM-CC Preventive Conservation Working Group and is  
sponsored by the Society for Risk Analysis. It will take place at the Faculdade 
 de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa from September 
14th to  16th, 2011.

14 September 2011 - Symposium on Cultural Property Risk  Analysis
This Symposium will feature lectures and poster presentations  describing 
risk assessment cases, technical issues and studies related to risk  
assessment, communication and management, and related topics. 

Abstracts  not exceeding 500 words should be submitted on or before 2010 
December 15 to  Lisbon2011 [at] protectheritage.com. Please indicate whether 
the presentation  will be a lecture (maximum 20 min) or poster.

15-16 September 2011 -  Workshop on Cultural Property Risk Analysis - The 
two day interactive workshop  introduces a method of risk assessment and 
management based on the award winning  Cultural Property Risk Analysis Model 
(CPRAM). Participants will gain a sound  understanding of collection risk 
assessments, and will learn, and experience,  how it is done. Presented by Dr. 
Robert Waller, President and Senior Risk  Analyst, Protect Heritage Corp. 
(formerly Chief, Conservation, Canadian Museum  of Nature) 

At this time we are also requesting expressions of interest  to help us 
plan for the numbers expected. Please express interest by contacting  us at:

invitation for those who might benefit from that.
