The latest word from Peru is that the plans for building a shopping mall on
the site of the present Natural History Museum of San Marcos University have
been suspended and will be given a more thorough review, along with the
museum.  Thanks to everyone who took the time to sign the petition or send a
message--the support from the international community was a big help to the
museum.  Let us hope that the final outcome of all this will be that the
museum will get the better facility that it deserves.
