The 2011 Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG) Conference will be held
October 17-21 in New Orleans, LA.  Please visit the conference website for
the latest details on the program, registration, abstract submission and
socials functions (http://www.tdwg.org/conference2011/).  

 

The theme of this year's conference is  "Digitization Methods, Technologies,
and Standards for Biodiversity Collections".   Register now through August
29th to take advantage of reduced registration rates.  Regular registration
will be open from August 30th through September 26th.    

 

The Call for Abstracts is now available for contributed papers, symposia,
posters, computer demos and lightning talks:

http://www.tdwg.org/conference2011/submissions/.  The deadline for abstract
submission is September 9, 2011.

 

The meeting will be held at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown New
Orleans, a AAA 4-Diamond Award property at the gateway to Bourbon Street and
the French Quarter (http://www.astorneworleans.com/).
