CALL FOR PAPERS AND WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

 

 

The 2012 Host Committee for the 5th Annual Fossil Preparation and
Collections Symposium is calling for papers and workshop proposals.

The meeting will take place April 12th-14th at the Burke Museum and adjacent
University of Washington facilities in Seattle, Washington.

 

Papers should be 15 minutes in length. Please submit an abstract of no more
than a single page to bcrowley at u.washington.edu by February 17, 2012. Topics
may range from technical to theoretical and address any aspect of fossil
preparation or collections management. The host committee is particularly
inviting papers related to establishing or maintaining volunteer programs
and papers exploring fossil preparators increased professionalism.

 

Workshop proposals should include a concise description of the workshop, the
names of organizers and their contact information, materials required,
materials provided, minimum and maximum number of attendees and the cost per
person. Workshops will be limited to two afternoon sessions and proposals
should indicate whether 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours will be required. Please submit
proposals to bcrowley at u.washington.edu by February 10, 2012.
