Dear Heads of GBIF Delegations and Node Managers,

 

The GBIF Secretariat is pleased to announce the release of a new call for GBIF Support of Regional Training Events. This call builds on the success of previous regional training experiences that several of you have led over the past few years.

 

This call is targeted to GBIF Participants and it seeks to support training activities with a regional component, by offering direct assistance by the GBIF Secretariat and discretionary financial support, up to 5000 EUR per event, to be used exclusively to enable regional participation in the events by representatives of GBIF Participants from the region.

The deadline for applications is the 15 February 2011.

 

Whenever you plan training activities with an international component, please consider sharing the information on the GBIF Community Site <http://community.gbif.org/>  and also informing the GBIF Secretariat for its inclusion in the events section <http://www.gbif.org/participation/training/events/>  of the Online Resource Centre. That will certainly increase the impact and visibility of your activities and will allow for new exciting collaboration possibilities!
