IMLS funds free preservation workshops in California!
Information about preservation workshops provided by the Institute of Museum
and Library Services (IMLS)-funded Californians Connecting to Collections
Project (C3) is now on the California Preservation Program website
(www.calpreservation.org/services/c3.html). This multi-year, statewide
preservation project provides information, education, and training to
California heritage institutions.

The first workshop series, "Protecting Cultural Collections: Disaster
Prevention, Preparedness, Response & Recovery, " starts in February 2011
(register now at www.calmuseums.org/workshops) and over the next year will
be held in 8 different locations throughout the State. A follow-up workshop
series to test disaster plans will start later this year. Third, a
preservation project development and fundraising workshop series will be
offered next year. Watch the website for locations and dates of the
workshops. To be placed on a mailing list for announcements, please join the
CaLibArc-Preserve listserv
<http://www.calpreservation.org/about/calibarc-preserve.html> or email
c3 at calpreservation.org <mailto:info at calpreservation.org> .

Historical Society, California Library Association, California State
Archives, California State Library, California State Parks. With assistance
from: California Preservation Program, Balboa Art Conservation Center, and
