At the Canadian Museum of Nature, the specs are exactly that at the moment : 18°C +/- 1°C, RH: 50% +/- 5%.

Our systems are keeping up with these values fairly well but it is quite demanding (and probably not cheap). We are currently looking at whether we can increase the range a bit.

Subject: [NHCOLL-L:5419] quick show of hands for wet collection temp/humidity levels

Hi all,

Can I get a quick show of hands for wet collections that follow Simmons' recs for temp and humidity levels? (65 deg F and 50% RH). If not, at what temp/RH is your collection stored?

Thanks,

Jess
