Dear all,
I am currently conserving a Baboon taxidermy specimen and I am having trouble identifying the species, since a few of the features are questionable. The only information I have on the specimen is that it is from the African continent and was collected in 1902. The fur has faded substantially but this was recolored at some point in an attempt to re-create natural markings. I enclose a photograph of the mount in its entirety.
I appreciate any input as to what species this might be.
Many thanks,
