Dear Colleagues:
In case you have not seen this on Museum-L, I am forwarding this to NHCOLL-L for your consideration.

Spike TV is producing a television show called American Diggers<http://www.conservation-us.org/dsp_emailhandler.cfm?eid=38796&uid=1035>. In the vein of popular shows like Pawn Stars, the show glamorizes the digging up of historical artifacts and selling them for profit. Signing the petition will allow you to voice an opinion about the importance of not removing historical materials from their cultural context (see link below).  Even though history is the focus of this show, all cultural and natural heritage can be affected.  Thank you.
