Hi all,

just want to resume my previous posting regarding shipping natural 
history specimens to China.

1. Import requirements for China have apparently changed 1.Jan.2012

A 10-digit CR code is required to facilitate import to China. This 
CR-code is not the same as the harmonised customs HS-Code for zoological 
or botanical collectors items (which is 9705 00).

2. Has anyone recently sent specimens to colleagues in China ? If so, 
which CR-Code did you use ?

I could not find any information on CR codes in the net (there are many 
sites telling you that you would need an CR-Code without referencing 
them) or ont he website of the Chinese customs authorities. Might be 
provided on the Chinese version of the site?
