For large specimens, we use cylinder flower vases (largest we´ve found 25x80 cm, but impractical as they get heavy) + glass lid of ordinary window glass + stopcock grease. Some kind of plastic such as cling film or stretch wrap (not parafilm) to make sure lid stays in place. If stored in lower temperature, the slight negative pressure will tighten the seal.

Hello,

I am looking for an appropriate glass container to house a holotype specimen.  The problem is that I need a container that has at least an 170 mm (6 ¾") opening.  Does anyone know where I might be able to order such a container?
