Sarah

That's a really interesting question! I can imagine folks not wanting to seem to be complaining about increased traffic, so if you get off-line responses maybe you could summarize them for the list?

Thanks
Judith

Subject: [Nhcoll-l] Effect of Global Database Inclusion on Loan Requests

We are hoping to upload our collection database to FishNet2 in the coming months, and I was wondering if anyone has any data about the effect of inclusion in these types of global databases on loan requests. After adding a collection database to a global databse (e.g., FishNet2, HerpNET, ORNIS, etc.), did loan requests noticeably increase? If so, does anyone have any data indicating the percent increase?

Many thanks,

Sarah
