[Nhcoll-l] Rehydration question

The traditional method is to immerse the specimen in three graded solutions of trisodium phosphate, which gradually rehydrates it without rupturing the cells too badly. I haven't done this in a while, but various papers have been published that give concentrations and times.

Does anyone have a method to rehydrate mollusc specimens that have dried in jars? I am wondering whether to try glycerine and am not sure whether to dilute it or use it neat.
