Whitten-Newman ExplorOlogy® Program Coordinator

Full-Time,  $35,000, Requisition #16346



Responsible for coordinating the Sam Noble Museum's Whitten-Newman ExplorOlogy® Program. Coordinates, develops and facilitates science programming for K-12 youth and teachers including a science field-camp for middle school students, a paleontology science field-camp for high school students, outreach programs to Oklahoma elementary schools and teacher professional development workshops. Assists with museum special events and general public interpretive programs and materials.

Typical Duties May Include:

-Develop, coordinate, and instruct field science programs for K-12 youth and teachers, including two summer residential field camps for youth and a teacher professional development workshop.
-Coordinate, develop and facilitate outreach programs for Oklahoma schools and organizations.
-Coordinate overall logistics of the project including budget, resources and staff.
-Participate in the overall administration of the Whitten-Newman ExplorOlogy® Program, including developing goals, objectives, strategic plan, and evaluation plan.
-Represent Whitten-Newman ExplorOlogy® Program at local and regional events, conferences and career fairs.
-Supervise and generate content for the project's website and promotional materials.
-Assist with museum K-12 programs, public programs, and special events.
-Position will require travel using university vehicles. Applicant must be comfortable driving youth participants in a 12-passenger van
-Performs related duties as assigned.


Education Public Programs Coordinator

Full-Time,  $28,000.00 - $30,000, Requisition #16421



Responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of Sam Noble Museum of natural history's public programming including children's programming (after-school program, summer camps and scout workshops), adult education workshops, and family programming. Assists with K-12 school program facilitation and creating interpretive programs and materials for the general public.

Typical Duties May Include:

-Develop, coordinate and facilitate informal science programs for K-12 youth including the museum's after school program, summer camp programming, Scout and youth workshops.
-Develop and implement adult education science programming.
-Develop and implement programming for families.
-Participate in overall coordination of public programming, including developing goals, objectives, strategic plan, and evaluation plan.
-Facilitate K-12 school field trip programming.
-Assist with teacher professional development workshops, K-12 programs and special events.
-Performs related duties as assigned.
