Hi All,
I will be working with a museum on a conservation plan for a
leatherbackturtle that has been on display for many years and is
continually oozing
oil. I know this is a common problem with sea turtles (or is it
leatherbacks in particular?).
I have a feeling that there isn't much to be done, other than manage the
problem. I would love to hear about any other experiences that people have
had in dealing with this issue, or even other examples of institutions with
turtles hanging/draining in collections. The messier the horror story, the
better.
Thanks,
Fran Ritchie
