Dear Natural History Museum Curators, Collection Managers, Researchers and
Other Collections Professionals,
I am a museum studies graduate student and *I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK as part of
my thesis research*. It will only take a few minutes of your time.
My research focuses on understanding the challenges that face the
preservation and growth of natural history collections in the 21st century,
as related to dwindling resources dedicated to collections care and
research, lack of public awareness of the scientific and cultural value of
collections, and insufficient coverage of this value in front-of-house
museum exhibits.
Results from this survey will be used to publish a snapshot of the current
state of collections advocacy in museum exhibits, including your level of
satisfaction with the in-house promotion of your profession and specimens
in your care. Your feedback is VERY IMPORTANT in bringing this document to
fruition.
If you have not already done so, please take a few moments to fill out
this *anonymous
survey* <https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NHCollectionsAdvocacy>*.*
Thank you in advance for your invaluable assistance!
Best,
Katharine Corriveau
