Hello All,

My executive director has asked me to do the initial research on the possibility of acquiring a mounted skeleton of a large prehistoric animal more in keeping with Florida’s natural history than the Allosaurus that we currently have on display. I am a bit at a loss as to where to even start the search though. How does one go about acquiring such a specimen? She was thinking about a Mastodon, Mammoth, or Giant Sloth and didn’t seem to particularly care whether is was cast or actual fossils.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Lena
