[Nhcoll-l] Valuing collections

Here at Auckland Museum we are currently reviewing our valuation methodology for our collections and more importantly our Natural Science collections. We are reviewing current practice around this with other institutions to inform ours- methodology and how this works in practice with internal stakeholders and auditors etc.

Our four main collections are: Botany, Entomology, Marine and Land Vertebrates but we also have  Geology and Palaeontology collections

I would be very grateful if anyone was willing to share this information or point me in the direction of some relevant information.
