[Nhcoll-l] Second Call for Mentors for Travel Grant Awardees SPNHC 2015

Hello,
A few opportunities remain to volunteer to be a mentor for awardees of this year's Fitzgerald and Allen Travel Grants.  SPNHC members who will be attending the annual conference next month in Gainesville, Florida are invited to participate as mentors for new SPNHC members who will present posters or talks on ethnology, paleontology, and herpetology.  Please refer to the attached guidelines for details on this volunteer opportunity.
Mentors are asked to contact the awardee who they are paired with before the conference, offer advice on presentations, guide the awardee through their first SPNHC meeting, and keep in touch with them after the conference while the awardee writes up short or longer articles for submission to our publications.
The mentors that have volunteered for past conferences have all commented on how rewarding their experience has been; it is not only the awardees who benefit.  If you have been one of our mentors in the past, we can't thank you enough for volunteering; if you would like to join in and be a new volunteer that would be fantastic - and we thank you very much as well!
