Hi all,
I'd like to bring up a concern about the DOI information collection request that I haven't seen discussed yet. From reading the proposal, it sounds like the DOI, rather than its specific agencies, will be asking us directly for information. As we all know, we already report to the agencies under DOI and respond to annual reporting requests, particularly from the NPS.
Will this DOI information gathering be duplicating the work of its own agencies? Will we be approached by multiple DOI-affiliated parties annually? Has the DOI done a thorough job of working with its agencies to find out what information they hold and collect?
I'm curious whether anyone shares my concerns or has any insights.
Regards,
Heather
