[Nhcoll-l] Attention conservators: Insect pin corrosion

Dear Colleagues

Thank you for your interesting and informative replies, I'm attaching a compilation for your interest. The leading view seems to be that the dendrites are some kind of metal sulphide, most probably silver sulphide (presumably from corrosion of silver plating) or maybe copper sulphide.
