Dear all,

Thank you very much to the more than 400 of you who have completed the survey on 'natural history collections: faster access to more data' and sorry for cross posting. Undoubtedly some of you missed the deadline of 16 October 2015 due to other commitments while others may only just be receiving the survey for the first time. To facilitate all those that would like to complete the survey, we are extending the deadline to Friday 20th November 2015. Please share the information about your collections through this simple survey whether you have started digitizing or not. The survey should take you an average of 10 to 20 minutes to complete. By participating in this survey you are helping the collections community to gather basic information that is essential to the discovery of your collections, planning and leveraging resources  for future digitisation and imaging of collections worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for the collections community to let the world know what you have in store and forge a united approach on how to unlock the vast wealth of data and information that remains inaccessible.
