Comrades:

We are in the process of moving our insect collection to our new facility,
and transferring drawers from our old cabinets to new units on compactors.
As a result, there will be well over 100 used cabinets made by Viking and
Interior Steel that will be available for sale. Our really old cabinets
that are sheet metal over wood frames will be scrapped, as they are not
suitable for any further use.

Unfortunately, UM does not use standard drawer sizes. Our drawers are
approximately 18.25"w x 13.25"D x 2.5"H. We call them "Michigan Drawers"
but I think they are also the same as those used by the Academy of Natural
Sciences in Philadelphia. So maybe they should be called "ANSP" drawers.
While the used cabinets do not come with empty drawers, they could be used
for other types of collections that require trays of some sort. The
cabinets are green, so they may not fit your idea of decor. The cabinets
are 42"W x 53"H x 15.5"D. There are two doors, and each side holds 18
drawers, 36 drawers/cabinet.

You can see the cabinets here:

Contact me if you are interested. At this writing, I do not have a price
for them. Buyers will have to pick them up.

I suggest contacting me sooner than later, as we do not have the
opportunity to store them for long.

Mark
