Pardon for the cross-posting, but I want to distribute this as widely as possibly to hit people that may not be associated with the Entomological Collections Network (yet) but are interested in joining us and interested in entomological collections!

Subject: ECN in Orlando - 4 months away!!

Hi ECN! This is your friendly reminder saying - please register for the conference! https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__ecnweb.org_&d=AwIGaQ&c=-dg2m7zWuuDZ0MUcV7Sdqw&r=CLFZJ3fvGSmDp7xK1dNZfh6uGV_h-8NVlo3fXNoRNzI&m=6tcdOpH2slAi_S1XLyIqR_F8Qk-GQTYeckvRWy0mNmU&s=NhKo9wOsZXriuWhxh0Vz42xmYAM_I8WKegfYiRL3wlo&e=

Orlando is gorgeous in September - so you don't want to miss it. And, in case, you didn't know, this year's meeting (2 months earlier than usual) runs right before the International Congress of Entomology https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__ice2016orlando.org_&d=AwIGaQ&c=-dg2m7zWuuDZ0MUcV7Sdqw&r=CLFZJ3fvGSmDp7xK1dNZfh6uGV_h-8NVlo3fXNoRNzI&m=6tcdOpH2slAi_S1XLyIqR_F8Qk-GQTYeckvRWy0mNmU&s=JMLjvEZJrsizDGOLuRvHVHUeEBh7tA6iYNkYadW3w0k&e=
so if there ever was an entomology meeting to attend, this is probably it.

Right now, we have less than thirty people registered. Usually about two hundred people attend. So, we're figuring people are just waiting for a nudge, a sign, a reminder ? It's vital for those of us planning it to get a good head count so if you could get your registration in sooner rather than later, it would be very helpful!

If anyone would like to give a talk at the meeting this year, please email us a title, brief abstract, and list of authors by July 1, 2015. Talks should be prepared using MS PowerPoint (or similar app), and are generally 20 minutes in length, including time for questions. For past examples of programs and talks, you can consult the ECN website.

The ECN will be hosting a poster session on Friday, September 23rd through the evening of the banquet, with presenters tentatively scheduled to be available for questions during the mixer. If you are interested in presenting a poster rather than a talk, please email us as well.

Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you all in September!
