  exactly! but I figure that´s the whole point.

 Why would an administration that is wiling and more interested in
replacing a collection/science/teaching&learning space for sports
facilities that bring in much more $$$, ever be interested in the
safekeeping and with providing the correct timings and $ (because it also
costs, a lot, to remove collections) to pack and move collections that they
have absolutely no interest in.

Unfortunately this is not an isolated case and the future looks a bit grim
for certain smaller public and university museums.
