Dear all,

On February 15, we had the privilege of inaugurating the new Natural History Museum of the University of Valencia. 80 years before, a fire destroyed most of the collections of the former Cabinet of Natural History, and the surviving collections occupied temporary spaces and corridors. At last, today these collections are reunited in a only building, equipped with adequate conservation rooms, restoration laboratories and technical staff to ensure its preservation, study and management.

Therefore, we are pleased to offer our collections to the scientific community for study. At the same time, with the aim of expanding them, we offer ourselves to collaborate with other institutions in their projects and in the exchange of  material that could be interest to both. We can manage everything related to legal aspects regarding specimens of our region (Mediterranean area). Any proposal of collaboration will be wellcome.
