[Nhcoll-l] specimen inventory question

Collections community,


We are working toward becoming an accredited museum and are trying to figure out the best means of undertaking annual specimen inventories. We have several collections ranging from a few hundred specimens to over 100,000. We are wondering how other institutions decide on the number of specimens that should be included in random annual inventories. We welcome any and all suggestions and discussion.
