[Nhcoll-l] SPNHC-TDWG 2018 - Travel Assistance offered to those travelling from Africa to New Zealand

The SPNHC-TDWG Local Organising Committee is delighted to announce that the JRS Biodiversity Foundation<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__jrsbiodiversity.org_&d=DwIFAg&c=cjytLXgP8ixuoHflwc-poQ&r=LpYc_Z_iN1KRw0hheb3x6-8MJUMu482qfHowpGYJqwc&m=JK2JMBFtmf77kQ8HsFjAyi-R1HlQV-lslYARu3GyLTs&s=DRiQ8TW3C3XP-MP5et8A9sdzulPqUfP7v4WUMn1NpL4&e=> is offering assistance towards the costs of travel for those wishing to attend from African countries. Grants of US$250, $500, $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000 are available.
Applicants must be members of SPNHC and/or TDWG. Members who have already received a Travel Grant are not eligible.
Applicants may only apply for one grant.
Preference will be given to those who have had submitted abstracts accepted by the SPNHC-TDWG 2108 local organizing committee.
Applicants should submit the following:

  *   A completed application form.
  *   The deadline for submissions is 5.00pm GMT April 30t
  *   A letter of support/recommendation from the applicant's advisor, supervisor, or professional mentor.
  *   A statement (maximum 400 words) from the applicant describing how attendance at the meeting will benefit him/her.
  *   A copy of the abstract for the paper/poster the applicant intends to present. (Submit your original abstract to the SPNHC 2018 Local Organizing Committee, spnhc.tdwg2018 at otagomuseum.nz<mailto:spnhc.tdwg2018 at otagomuseum.nz>)
  *   An estimate of the total costs for travel and accommodation.
