Shalom Gali,

Paleobond has a long history of use in the field. One good place to start where I know it is mentioned is the still useful 1997 article Adhesives and Consolidants in Geological and Paleontological Applications on the new SPNHC website

https://spnhc.org/resources/spnhc-leaflet-2-adhesives-and-consolidants-in-geological-and-paleontological-applications/

In 2014 AMNH staff presented a poster with updated information on their practices

Subject: [Nhcoll-l] paleobond

Hi all,

I understand that Paleobond is being used by physical anthropologists and possibly other people working with archeological and paleontological bone material. It is quite different to products such as Paraloid B72, since Paleobond is a reaction adhesive (a cynanoacrylate, to the best of my understanding). Has anyone here in this list used Paleobond, or seen how this product aged over time in collections?

Thanks,

Gali
