I hope this finds you well. Only today I learned about your organization, and wanted to reach out.














The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Board on Agriculture and National Resources, in collaboration with the U.S. National Committee for the International Union of Soil Sciences, held a virtual workshop entitled Exploring a Dynamic Soil Information System on 2-4 March 2021 ([ https://www.nationalacademies.org/our-work/exploring-a-dynamic-soil-information-system-a-workshop ]( https://www.nationalacademies.org/our-work/exploring-a-dynamic-soil-information-system-a-workshop )). All presentations and materials are posted on the website.
 
As part of this work, we are constructing a list of soil sample repositories/soil archives in the U.S. and the world [ https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5786076/Soil-Repository-Survey ]( https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5786076/Soil-Repository-Survey ). Each entry takes about two minutes to complete, since it only asks for basic information about each repository: name, location, and website. The list will be made openly accessible on the workshop's website and published in the workshop’s proceedings. The survey will close on March 31, 2021. Your information would be most valuable.
