The Musuem Specialist will assist in the care of the Department of Herpetology's collection of reptile and amphibian specimens, which includes substantial alcohol- preserved specimens, dry osteological holdings, tissue samples, and other material. Other responsibilities include cataloging; specimen data management; loans including IATA and USFW compliance, specimen photography, specimen preparation including tissue samples; laboratory maintenance including safety compliance, supply procurement, and waste management; archive and library management; staff and visiting scientist assistance; and related tasks.
