[Nhcoll-l] US Exchange moratorium

The United States National Herbarium is imposing an indefinite moratorium on the unsolicited receipt of legacy exchange material as we continue to update the herbarium to the current organizational system developed by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group (APG). The physical rearrangement of the entire collection requires significant staff resources beyond what our current staffing can provide under the present conditions. We will continue to accept gifts for determination, as well as duplicate sets for deposit of recently collected material. However, we are unable to process large exchanges until the reorganization project is complete and until further notice.
