Hi Sergio,

A couple references you might be able to use on your own are the MVZ Egg collection which has digitized images of all of their identified eggs:
https://arctos.database.museum/mvz_egg

and the WFVZ which also have a digitized and imaged egg collection: https://wfvz.org/collections/#:~:text=The%20WFVZ%20houses%20approximately%20250%2C000,the%20largest%20in%20the%20world.

Both of these collections are in North America, but they have world wide collections so they may be able to provide some reference. When we were identifying a historic egg collection here at the UWYMV, both were really helpful.

cheers,
Beth

Good morning,

We are currently organizing and cataloging an important oology collection with over 300 bird specimens from Europe, mainly Spain. Our main task is to verify that the original labels correspond to each specimen. This is facilitated by the fact that most of them are marked with ink and a number. However, we sometimes have doubts regarding the species assignment made by the original authors, so we need to confirm whether they match the indicated species.

We use general identification manuals, but as we are not experts in the field, we would like to contact a specialist who could help clarify some doubts if we were to send them photos of some of these eggs. Does anyone know a specialist in European oology who might be interested in assisting us?

Thank you very much in advance!

Sergio
