Hi all,
We still have a few spots left for our next MuseumStudy online course beginning May 5. Current participants span the globe so time zone location will not be an issue.

In the level 1 course we learn ideas fundamental to risk analysis and focus on developing a useful set of defined type 1 (rare and potentially catastrophic) specific risks. This is helpful for developing emergency preparedness plans and foundational for building a comprehensive risk analysis and management system.

I hope you will join Moya Dumville and myself of Protect Heritage Corp. for this first in a series of online courses on Risk to Cultural Property, Assessing Risk to Cultural Property 1 course begins May 5 on MuseumStudy.com. This introductory 4-week online course provides a firm foundation on which to build an understanding of risk-based approaches to cultural property protection. Assessing risks to cultural property, including but not limited to Museum, Library, and Archive collections, is becoming a fundamental ability for collection care professionals and administrators to make informed decisions about not only where the risks to collections are, but also where resources will have the greatest effect in addressing those risks.
