[Nhcoll-l] transport of a large but thin geologic slab

Hello all;

We have a very heavy and large (300 x 60 x 4cm)  geologic slab we need to ship.  Is it better to ship it laying flat, or up on the long side (the way glass would be shipped)?  It has already been packed laying flat, but not sure this is best. Can someone advise us? Thanks.
