[Nhcoll-l] [EXTERN] type of lighting for storage spaces

Hi Lennart,

do you mean the fixture? It looks reasonable, does not seem to be metal (from where sparks could shoot into the storage space in case of an short circuit on the fixture), and is IP-66 rated, i.e. shielded against water (sprinklers).

There is not too much information on the lamps, but you probably followed the most recent discussion on LED light and the information the Canadian Conservation Institute provides online: https://www.canada.ca/en/conservation-institute/services/agents-deterioration/light.html

It might be worth adding that the option for individual switches to turn on the light in individual rows of the collection should be preferred, instead of central switches that turn on the light in the entire room or larger parts of it.

Hope this helps
Dirk

Dear all,

I am reviewing the lighting plans for our new storage building.
Currently, the following model is planned to use in every storage facility: I40-1200 LED 4400 HF 840 PC<https://www.glamox.com/et/pbs/tooted/sisevalgustid/toostus/i40l42214/>.
The product sheet is attached.

Could you please confirm if this model is suitable for the collections?

If you have any other product recommendations, I would appreciate it.
The building company primarily orders lighting from Glamox<https://www.glamox.com/en-gb/pbs/products/indoor/> and XAL<https://www.xal.com/en/products/products-by-application>.

Kind regards,
