[Nhcoll-l] Laser printer recommendations

Hi, All,
I need a new laser printer for the herbarium (WNC) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Our printer is mostly used to print herbarium voucher labels on 24lb. 100% cotton bond paper, sometimes Avery or ToughTag sticker label sheets, and Rite-in-the-Rain sheets. The annual volume is relatively low, ca. 700 sheets total.

The new printer should use black ink only (color is not needed), be easy for student helpers to use, and capable of double-sided printing. The bells & whistles available on many printers are not needed (e.g., fax, phone apps, etc.). We just need something dependable that does not constantly jam and malfunction like the current printer (HP Laser Jet Pro P2055dn).

Which models are worth considering or avoiding?
