Insect pheromones and their use in Integrated Pest Management
Date/Time: 2 Apr, 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm BST
Tutor(s): Patrick Kelley and David Pinniger
Price: £25.00
Two well-known museum entomologists are joining together to give a virtual seminar on how pheromones can be an important part of a museum IPM program. The UK's David Pinninger and Patrick Kelley from the U.S. will cover topics ranging from how pheromones work in attracting insects and how to best use them in a museum setting to prevent damage to collections. Several case studies will be covered, and they will be joined by UK conservator Jane Thompson-Webb for a discussion panel at the conclusion of the presentations. This should prove valuable to any institution wanting to begin a pheromone monitoring program or wanting to improve their current program.
