[Nhcoll-l] availability of ocean sunfish tissues

I have ocean sunfish samples that I am trying to place with interested researchers. I have been collecting tissues from carcasses for years.


  *   Jaws (upper and lower) - many frozen and a few dried ones
  *   Whole eyes - all frozen
  *   Pharyngeal gill teeth - all frozen
  *   Pectoral fins - all frozen
  *   Muscle tissue - all frozen
  *   Plugs (thin section that include skin, reticulated collagen and muscle stored in a 50 ml plastic centrifuge tube with 70% ETHOH) - all frozen

Everything is at -20.

The tissues come with the stranding data and descriptive data for each carcass.

Stranding Data:
- date
- time
- location
- situation (stranded dead, stranded live and then died, etc.)

Descriptive Data”
- body measurements
- body weight (if it could be collected)
- photographs
- etc.

I also have external parasites mostly preserved at room temperature in 70% ETOH.
