[Nhcoll-l] Where is Tsaulian?

 Dear Paul et al., 
Tsaulian = 草梁 (in Chinese) = 초량 (in Korean), and it is located in current Busan, the second largest city of Korea. 

35° 7′ 16″ N 
129° 2′ 34″ E

Here’s a poser: in his account of the zoology of the voyage of theSamarang, Arthur Adams recorded a species from “off Tsaulian.” On the relevant leg of its voyage theSamarang went from the Philippines up through the Bashi islands off Taiwan, over to Miyakojima, up to Okinawa, then on to Jeju (Quelpart) island and touched on the west coast of Korea before returning to Hong Kong. Somewhere along the way they were at “Tsaulian,” but where is/was it? An early thought was “Dalian,” on the Liaotung Peninsula in the Yellow Sea, but they didn’t get that far north.
