Hello,

I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but there is a 2015 reference 
that suggests a way of valuing specimens in natural history collections 
for insurance purposes. Although it is written in Spanish and attempts 
to comply with Spanish regulations and legislation at the time, I think 
it could give you some ideas.
