Hi Joosep,

Both Sketchfab and MorphoSource are excellent platforms that host 3D models of biological collections. You can search for taxa of interest on either site and, when available, download or request to download the 3D model. MorphoSource serves as a major repository for museum-based 3D data, hosting models and image datasets from numerous institutions.

If you haven't already, I would also recommend contacting the imaging team at the Natural History Museum, London to see if they might have other scans not currently available online of European species of interest. https://www.nhm.ac.uk/our-science/services/facilities/imaging-analysis. Dear all,
I am reaching out to inquire information about 3D models of European wildlife (frogs, snakes, fishes, snails, plant parts, rhizoma, mushrooms, insect eggs/larvae etc). We are currently working on a new exposition in museum that involves creating high-quality animal models and are looking for accurate 3D assets to assist in the process.
Specifically, we are interested in two things:

  1.
Existing 3D Models: Does any institution or museum have existing 3D models of European organisms?
  2.
Creators: Could you recommend any museums, institutions, or specialized 3D artists within Europe who have the expertise to create anatomically accurate 3D models of European organisms for museum displays?

Any leads, recommendations, or advice you could share would be greatly appreciated.
