SPNHC 2026 – Grace Period for Abstract Submissions Until June 4

Hello everyone,

Thank you to everyone who has submitted an abstract for SPNHC 2026 — we
already have a robust program of sessions developing around the conference
theme Bridging Hemispheres: Collaborating for a Unified Natural Heritage.

However, if you had planned to submit your abstract over the weekend but
the days simply got away from you, you’re not alone — and you’re not out of
time.

SPNHC is offering a short grace period for abstract submis
<https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/80131/submitter>sions. Abstracts
will now be accepted — and not considered late — through June 4 at 11:59
p.m. EDT.

If you were putting the finishing touches on your work or meant to submit
but got pulled into other commitments, this brief extension gives you a
little extra breathing room to get your abstract in.

We hope this grace period helps those who need just a bit more time, and we
look forward to seeing your contributions to the SPNHC 2026 program.

If you’re just learning about SPNHC 2026, we invite you to visit the
conference page on the SPNHC website
<https://spnhc.org/spnhc-2026-south-africa/>. And if you have a product or
service that supports the preservation field, you can also explore
opportunities to participate <https://spnhc.org/spnhc-2026-south-africa/>
as an exhibitor or sponsor.

If you have any questions about abstracts, attending, or
exhibiting/sponsoring the conference, please reach out to us at
spnhc.conference at gmail.com.

Sincerely,

SPNHC 2026 Joint Organizing Committee
