Hi everyone-
Long time reader, first time poster on the personal archives list. Just wanted to chime in and say that I've had the pleasure of working with George during his last few months at Rare Books and Special Collections. Like a lot of other SLAIS graduates, I will also always fondly remember George as the person who gave me my start in archives by supervising my work study position in RBSC. We will all miss him around the office, but wish him the very best for a well-deserved retirement!
Cheers,

Sarah Romkey

> Congratulations! Thanks for all of your advice and support over the years. I remember one SISPA meeting when we were the only two who showed up (we quickly adjourned to the pub). Best wishes in your retirement. I hope you take advantage of the ACA's new "retired" membership category -- and lead the west to many more defeats in the annual ball game! :)

On Dec. 24th at 5:00 p.m. I lock the doors in Special Collections and retire after over 35 years as Manuscripts Archivist for the UBC Library. It has been a pleasure working with many of you on interesting projects and topics.
