I've been under the general impression that most archivists acquiring personal digital archives would fall under some of the categories of "how people archive now" listed on p.4 of Cathy's first article. They look for external storage media mainly and they might look to important My Documents files and systems back-ups among the huge number of computer files on a PC they might be exposed too. I have even heard of one or two trying to save an entire platform (or at least a hard drive). Are there any archivists among us who are looking toward social media sites and even periferal devices such as cell phones which take photos? It would help us to know what archivists are thinking of when they look for creator's digital belongings.
