Dear Catherine,

I'm sure that you have been following the story of the CMCP closure. 
This is another terrible cut to Canadian art, and people are trying to
stop it.

A group at the University of Ottawa has started a petition. All of us
must tap into our networks to make this work. I am wondering if you
could sign the petition and circulate the link to the group that I was
corresponding with in the fall, and to any other professional groups
that might be interested. PLEASE NOTE that there is no jeopardy to the
collection in reinstating it at the CMCP. This came out clearly in
comments from the National Capital Commission in the Globe. The
'conservation' issue is a red-herring.
