Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I'm just checking in with an update for you on SISPA's activities this year.

Discussion on Arrangement: First of all, I would like to thank Heather Homes for chairing our SISPA discussion on arrangement issues in February. Job well done, Heather. Thanks to all of you who came with comments and thoughts. If you have remaining comments you wish to share, you are invited to post them at any time to the p.a. list.

Next SISPA Discussion: Our next discussion will be on Arrangement Issues and Digital Personal Archives. I plan to lead this one on during the first two weeks of April. Apologies to those of you working in an academic environment for the timing of this discussion but it couldn't be helped. A full description of the topic and readings will follow.

Book of Essays: You may recall that it was suggested we compile a book of essays on personal archives for publication online. I have had several people come forward to form the editorial team. If there are any other volunteers, please get in touch with me in the next week or so. This is an exciting new initiative and I hope that we can count on many of you to propose essays on your expertise and experiences when the call for papers comes out.

SISPA AGM: Right now our meeting is scheduled for 1-3 pm on Wed. June 6th. This does not conflict with the Religious Archives SIS or the University and College Archives SIS. Unfortunately, this is at the same time as E-Rec's SIS, Aboriginal Archives and Access and Privacy. If there is a lot of difficulty arising from this scheduling, please let me know and I'll try to have it changed. I did ask that we specifically not be in conflict with Religious Archives or University and College Archives because this has caused us difficulty in the past. I hope to see many of you at our AGM meeting and will circulate an agenda in due course.

That's it for today. As always, if you have questions or new ideas for SISPA, please get in touch.
